*** Cash for Kids Announcement ***
After a month of serious fundraising and effort we received notification today that we came an outstanding 5th place in the 2019 Cool FM Cash for Kids Schools’ Challenge competition!
To put this achievement into perspective, there were 20 schools across the North of Ireland entered into this competition. We were up against some very large primary schools and massive secondary schools. To finish 5th was simply amazing.
For our efforts and 5th place finish we received a £1000 top up grant on top of the £7,286.47 that we raised. We also received a late donation of £200 which has given us a grand total of £8,486.47.
This money will have a hugely positive impact on our school. It will be directly invested into our children’s education. New technology, equipment and resources among many other benefits will come from it.
Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way. We as a school community really did achieve something special with this project. The passion and drive for our school was there for all to see. St Joseph’s P.S. is in a much better place because of our collective efforts.
