** Chest, Heart and Stroke: ‘Heartley’s Assembly’ and ‘Chester’s Challenge.’ ***
This morning we had the brilliant staff from Chest, Heart and Stroke in school again as they continued to deliver their programme to our pupils.
The whole school enjoyed ‘Heartley’s Assembly’ which focussed on our diet with specific activities related to those food groups that give us the most energy.
In the second session, ‘Chester’s Challenge,’ the P3, P4 and P5’s were presented with topics that included healthy eating, food labelling, benefits of exercise, dangers of smoking, the science behind a stroke and much more.
