Dragon's Den
Today was the day that Mr Fitzsimons and Mrs Toner's classes entered the Dragon's Den as part of their JEP (Junior Entrepreneur Programme).
This is the school's third year participating in the programme and today's efforts were right up there with the best in previous years.
Our five teams all gave brilliant pitches outlining their business idea, the mechanics of it and how they intended to operate a profit.
St Joseph's Direct, European Pancakes, Kooking Kids, Heavenly Cup Cakes and Killough Landscapes can be proud of themselves for their innovative and imaginative presentations to the Dragons.
A huge thanks goes to our three Dragons who all gave brilliant advice and feedback to our young entrepreneurs.
Our school governor Mick McCreesh, staff member Mrs Treacy and Nugelato owner Michael Nugent.
After the event the pupils got to have an invaluable Q&A session with Michael from Nugelato. The questions put forward were truly insightful and everyone enjoyed Michael's own personal story regarding his business success.
He also offered us all free Nuggy Pots when we go to Newcastle for our end of year school trip
A great day all round and another step closer to our grand showcase day!
