Latest Sustrans Activity
This term our Sustrans Schools’ Officer Claire, who pupils will know from her visits to school, will continue to send through a weekly video and learning activity which pupils can do at home.
These activities are aimed at keeping active, having fun and learning as part of our schools’ involvement in the Active School Travel programme. If you have never considered travelling actively on the school run, why not give it a go now as part of your daily permitted exercise? If you live within scooting, walking or cycling distance from school and can complete the route whilst adhering to government guidelines on physical distancing and permitted activity, could you try it out? If not, don’t worry, our Sustrans Home Activities will always be suitable for those remaining indoors and those families self-isolating too so you won’t miss out.
Sustrans Claire - Home Activity 3
This activity is all about school journeys and encourages pupils to think about what makes their journey to school special. Please view the video together and use the worksheet provided to complete the tasks. This activity can be completed independently by older children, or by younger children with assistance from an adult or sibling. You can show Claire what you’ve been doing to stay active at home by tagging @SustransNI and using #stayhomestayactive. https://youtu.be/yWwPULhtKv8
