Today witnessed the start of Mandarin lessons for our KS2 pupils. We welcomed Miss Li to our school for the beginning of what will be a long term project. We are delighted to be able to link up with the De La Salle, Downpatrick, and the Confucius Institute to enable us to deliver this programme to our pupils.
Our first lesson today focused on introductions, the geography of China and cultural aspects of the country.
The children were fully engaged throughout and are looking forward to their second lesson next Friday.
