*** Pat Watterson Memorial Tournament ***
Well done to our school GAA team who reached the semi finals of today’s Pat Watterson Memorial Tournament at St Malachy’s P.S. Kilclief.
St Joseph’s were pitted in Group B against St Malachy’s P.S. Kilclief and St Joseph’s P.S. Ballycruttle.We won both our games with some excellent points and goals being scored. We topped our group which brought us through to a semi final with St Joseph’s P.S. Strangford.
This semi final was nip and tuck all the way with Killough leading by a point at halftime. However, Strangford came roaring back into the contest and a few late goals saw them through to the final against St Patrick’s P.S. Saul.
Congratulations to Saul who were the overall winners and a massive thank you to Mr Michael McGarrity from St Malachy’s P.S. Kilclief for his organisation of the tournament.
