SHARE Centre Day 1.
*** SHARE Centre Residential 2019 ***
After a quick briefing from our group leader Brian we headed out on to Lough Erne for some SUP (Stand Up Paddle Boarding).
A pretty calm start was followed by a bit of adventure. A rather strong breeze came up and blew us way off course towards an island in the middle of the Lough. Despite a bit of panic from the leaders, the Killough ones remained extremely calm and found the whole thing a bit of a laugh. Undeterred we battled against t...he elements and paddled ourselves back to shore.
From that point we boarded the Commando boat and in a military style operation we were whisked to the brand new Water Park. A bit like a floating ‘We Are Vertigo.’ A good hour of fun was had negotiating all the obstacles, going down the slides and throwing each other in to the water. Mr Fitzsimons’ phone went for a bit of a swim so this explains the lack of photo/video action from the two activities today. It is currently drying out in the Fermanagh sunshine.
Tonight after dinner we will be heading into the woods for the Nightline. Then it’s up early tomorrow morning for breakfast followed by Combat Games and Mountain Biking with lunch to follow. Then we will be banana boating and kayaking before heading into the swimming pool tomorrow night.
Everyone is having a great time and thoroughly enjoying the experience!
